"The Plainsman"   Remember, these are one of a kind.

...I don't know if this man is Crow, Sioux, Blackfeet, Mandan or Cheyenne.  But I do know from his build and stature that he is from the great plains of North America. I can understand why these tribes would be revered.  The men are quite impressive in their appearance. 

In the close up you can see how I have built up the sand.  The shadow from the nose is actually because it has built up to appear that way, and so, the shadow is from his nose.  All his lines in his face are built up the same way.

He was the first attempt at this sand portraiture; you can get the idea of the way he is framed with the floated mats.
